Between 2017 & 2018, Courtney began creating a series of abstract shorts dealing with various esoteric & philosophical ideas. To make each film, he developed his own video filters by incorporating various organic materials into the cinematic process and utilized reflections of light, shadows and nature landscapes. Many of these pieces have gone on to be featured as backdrops in many of his documentaries, however, each piece can also be viewed on its own.
